ACL

ACL is a company specialised in roadside assistance in Luxembourg, offering support and breakdown services to motorists. A recognised local player, the organisation operates in a demanding environment where service quality and operational continuity are essential. 

In a context of strategic change, ACL wished to evolve its information system to support a new partnership.


The challenge

After more than four years of collaboration with an existing partner, ACL had to undergo a transition while ensuring the continuity of its operations. The existing system, heavily customised, required a technical upgrade, as well as a reassessment of governance and responsibilities. The challenge was to ensure this transition within limited intervention windows, while improving overall efficiency without burdening the solution.  


The solution implemented

ACL undertook an upgrade of its Odoo ERP to modernise its platform and facilitate the transition to a new partner. The project, carried out over a period of 6 months, allowed for the assessment of the existing system, secured the upgrade, and structured a roadmap aligned with business challenges. The approach prioritised the optimisation of the existing system rather than additional developments, in order to maximise value quickly.

A particular focus has been placed on the management of a highly customised solution, with an analysis effort to prioritise needs, improve ergonomics, and ensure maintainability over time.

The results and benefits

The upgrade of Odoo has enabled ACL to have a more stable, more efficient, and easier-to-maintain platform. The teams benefit from a better user experience, facilitating the adoption and daily use of the system.

The optimisation of the existing system has improved efficiency without incurring heavy developments, thereby reducing costs and timelines. The solution is now better structured, with clarified governance and a clearer vision of upcoming developments.

Finally, this project has secured the transition to a new partner while strengthening internal control of the system. ACL now has a solid foundation to evolve its ERP in line with its strategic challenges..
